Gailes is one of Brisbane's historic courses, and celebrated its 75th birthday late in the year 1999. It is only the second Queensland golf course to host the Australian Open. Last year's News can be viewed here. The results of all Gailes major events are now available on line. This includes results of all major events held at Gailes from 1925 to 2006. Members are invited to click on a decade, and examine the results, and email the webmaster if any errors or omissions are noticed.
In 1974, the Gailes Golf Club celebrated its Golden Jubilee and commemorated the event by publishing a booklet recording many of the developments that occurred during the first 50 years of the Club's history. Some editorial changes have been made, to keep the context relevant. This history may be printed, but, be warned, the file is 128Kb in size, and over 50 pages long, and will take a while to load in your browser, and even longer to print!
